Why Orrell Grange Nursing Home?
Orrell Grange is registered for 36 Service users and comprises 26 single rooms and 5 double rooms. Of the 31 rooms in total, four include en suite facilities. We welcome enquiries from couples wishing to share the double room facilities. All rooms have a nurse call system situated by each bedside, reading lights, television point, telephone point, electrical sockets and controlled heating.
We pride ourselves on providing assured Quality Care to residents with varying degrees of dependency. We are delighted to announce that for the third year in succession we have yet again secured Five Stars /excellence following our annual local authority Quality Assurance audit. Feedback from the independent auditor included the skills and sensitively carers show when interacting with residents, the overall feel for the home and the dignified mealtimes. This achievement is true testament of the commitment and dedication of the entire Team under the leadership of Matron.

The home is tastefully furnished and decorated with curtains and carpets. There are vanity washing facilities in each room. Accommodation is provided on two floors and a fully maintained lift services all living areas. Each room includes bedding appropriate to the needs of the service user, a wardrobe, a bedside table and lamp, a dressing table and mirror. In addition, every room includes a fully maintained nurse-call system, reading lights, television point, electrical sockets and controlled heating.
A reception area greets visitors on arrival. There is a large service user lounge which provides seating in excess of 36 people. The lounge has separate bays to enable a degree of privacy and benefits from immediate access to the patio area. There is a communal dining room, which benefits from direct views of the courtyard garden and also has direct access to the garden. There are 5 bathrooms. We do suggest and encourage service Residents to make choices about décor and furnishings as far as is practical. Laundry facilities and sluicing facilities are located on the ground floor. Residents are welcome to bring their own furnishings. Please discus these arrangements with Matron.
